Satellite Imagery Forensics

What is satellite imagery forensics? A new phenomenon and it is a new BlackShore branch in development. Based on a decade of experience using satellite imagery using Cerberus to reveal what is important, a novel resource arises revealing the truth to be used in court rooms for example.

Sometimes due to safety concerns we cannot always task the crowd, but yet the images contain what is important.

Using BlackShore's expertise we support court cases involving not only the acquisition of relevant satellite imagery involving humanitarian situations, but we also support in the whole arc to extract evidence and create infographics.

  • Acquire satellite imagery: we help you to get relevant imagery of the right quality, the right time and the right location.

  • Prepare satellite imagery: we prepare imagery so it is human readable.

  • Extract knowledge from satellite imagery: we support in knowledge to get the right information from the data.

  • Creation of infographics within BlackShore we are visually very capable and can help you to create infographics.

  • Support in court rooms if needed we can support presentational efforts in court rooms.

Mariupol Explosion Space BlackShore Forensics

On this page we show some resources which have been made public and were created in 2022 early after the start of the conflict.

For this an in-depth article can we read here containing a high resolution infographic:

If you 'd like to learn more, do not hesitate to reach out. Within BlackShore we have gained immense experience on the subject to only become the more important every day as the world 'rages' on.

Satellites allow us to see more than the human -eye and in this case we make use of the NIR (Near Infrared) sensor band to higlight fires and explosion. For satellite imagery based forensics it is just not always ethical or legally possible to rely on our public Cerberus crowdsourcing platform. Yet, experience - on for example the education about satellite imagery is of great value on the matter.
